Marketing on Steroids


At Mindflyte we talk to people every day about their online marketing strategies and present status.  There is a big difference between the attitudes of people on page 1 and 2 of Google and those who are not.  I find that the rest seem in a state of denial or disbelief that they could rank well.  The truth is most have not even tried. It’s a rarity that we speak with people who have tried and not succeeded.  This is a bold statement but unless a company is trying to unseat a very unattainable goal they should be able to increase their exposure in many ways.

Here are a few proven techniques:

Start with a good website
Next have a marketing exposure strategy around it.

Social media is a great marketing glue as people recognize you and your brand

Keep people informed about your company’s goal and activities as it makes you look current

Have marketing material, product and service lists ready to be emailed

Send out a quarterly or annual newsletter  -  As companies grow people either don’t keep track or forget the whole product and service line and the relationship you built long ago that could be monetized is wasted to a competitor that will put in the time.  Economically speaking this can easily be a 5-10% leakage but can go much higher.

Offline events should be posted, such as Golf event scores or charity events attended.  Any kind of positive chatter gets pulled up online and adds credibility to your online footprint.  This is not shameless promotion but common sense.
